Willem Hinternhoff

Willem Hinternhoff (he/him) is a New York based freelance lighting designer. Graduating proudly from the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama in the Class of 2022, his experience encompasses roles as both an assistant and primary lighting designer for various projects. His dedication and creativity shine through in every lighting design he brings to life.

Willem Hinternhoff has partnered with many respected creative organizations. Some notable instances include partnering with Utah Festival Opera, The Lisa Clair Group, Columbia University, and The Juilliard School. Willem Hinternhoff has helped create many successful shows through various connections, including but not limited to Treasure Island, Love & Information, Erismena, Botticelli in the Fire, and Willa’s Authentic Self.

Outside of his passion for lighting design, Willem Hinternhoff finds joy in exploring the realms of new music, capturing moments through photography, and immersing himself in the pages of a captivating book.
